McPoems©, a guerilla poetry reading at a McDonalds playplace, took place last weekend at the fast food megachain’s Silverlake location. A large crowd (eating half-melted McFlurrys and salted fries) packed the floors and benches as poets read and experimental musicians performed their work beneath a miniature plastic police car and a labyrinthine network of brightly-colored plastic tunnels, slides, and nets.
