The second weekend of one-of-a-kind disruptions, investigations, and interventions that make up Redcat’s NEW ORIGINAL WORKS FESTIVAL 2019 includes performances by Kate Watson-Wallace, Hprizm, Verónica Casado Hernández , Alexandro Segade, Amy Ruhl, and Paul Outlaw—who was recently seen stealing the show in Boston Court’s transgressive production of A Streetcar Named Desire.

THE JUDAS KISS

This is the final week of the local production of THE JUDAS KISS, David Hare‘s brilliant take on the last years of Oscar Wilde and his doomed relationship with Alfred, Lord Douglas—known to Wilde and the world as “Bosie.”

The play is directed by Michael Michetti, and Rob Nagle‘s uncanny portrayal of the iconoclastic Irish playwright is definitive.

THE PASSION OF MCQUEEN

The opera-in-development THE PASSION OF MCQUEEN imagines the last hours in the life of Alexander McQueen.

A staged concert of the forthcoming work—with music by Kentaro Kameyama, libretto by William Nedved, and direction by Diana Wyenn—will feature mezzo-soprano Peabody Southwell as Isabella Blow, and baritone David Castillo as Lee.

Boston Court presents pianists Brent McMunn and Paul Floyd, soprano Graycen Gardner, and tenor Todd Strange in a rare performance of FOUR DIALOGUES, by Ned Rorem.
