WEEKLY WRAP UP | JULY 28 – AUG. 1, 2014

Museum of Neon Art

Museum of Neon Art, Los Angeles

This week on the blog we traveled to Sequoia National Park to the giant General Sherman Tree and the magical Crystal Cave. In Europe, we ventured to the island of Antiparos in the Cyclades, where Zürich-based gallery Eva Presenhuber inaugurated the new space Kastro. We turned you on to the music of Caandides, the film Slaves of New York, and the French fashion label rue blanche. And in Los Angeles we toured the exhibition Contort Yourself at Kayne Griffin Corcoran. Check this week out, and stay tuned for more!

KASTRO

On the last weekend of June, the Zürich-based gallery Eva Presenhuber inaugurated Kastro. The new off-space located on the island of Antiparos in the Cyclades will welcome each summer a show by an internationally renowned artist.

For the first exhibition, the gallery invited the American artist Joe Bradley to present a new body of work based on the technique of unique silkscreens.

The charm of the Greek island combined with great art makes Kastro one of the best destinations for the summer!
