About

PARIS LA is a print periodical of revolving themes committed to free interpretations of the arts and an online forum of open investigations and the unlimited exchange of knowledge.

The title was established in 2008 by French editor Dorothée Perret as part of DoPe Press—a press for artists. In 2012, Barlo Perry—the Los-Angeles-based associate editor—joined the press. Together they create and commission independent content for the print and online formats.

PARIS LA reflects the culture of the times by connecting diverse fields of creation—art, film, poetry, design, fashion, theater, performance, and music—to provide a platform for the global contemporary art community, enthusiasts and participants alike.

By encouraging sharp inquiry and organic attention, PARIS LA explores the space between—between cities, between scenes, between people. Publishing the works and words of artists, essayists, poets, designers, and curators from around the world, PARIS LA advocates for those voices of imagination and possibility that move the culture forward.

Online content is published regularly, while our print edition follows an unspecified schedule.
