


Some L.A. Art Week highlights for 2026:
At poolside cabana 120 at the Felix Art Fair in Hollywood, DoPe Press and Oscar Tuazon Studio present a group show of friends and collaborators, including works by Liz Craft, Kate Costello, Christina Forrer, Alex Hubbard, Jeremy Jansen, Hedi El Kholti, MPA, Monica Nouwens, Anna Sew Hoy, Amy Yao, and Tuazon. The DoPe Press catalogue will be on view as well, including out-of-stock books and back issues of PARIS LA…. Craft and Pentti Monkkonen are also hosting the one-day Dark Ages Fair in Venice…. West Coast fans of the work of Louis Fratino will make a beeline for David Zwirner’s Frieze Los Angeles booth for a close look at the artist’s newest paintings…. New this year—and free for all—ENZO is a boutique art fair in Echo Park presenting nine galleries from New York’s Lower East Side and Chinatown…. Post-Fair returns to the old Santa Monica Post Office…. The Judith Center and the photography fair SHOW LA will present the panel Beyond Violence in Wartime Photography…. At The Other Art Fair—relocated to Culver City—Linus Gruszewski has pulled a DIY Buckminster Fuller move by creating an immersive dome from 1,500 take-out bags. The work is called Thank You, and gracias, Linus, for recycling….
As part of ArtCenter’s Spring 2026 Graduate Seminar Lecture Series, welcome Sharifa Rhodes-Pitts Presents Simone Leigh…. The Brick is hosting a performance by Jason Moran, followed by a Turntable Roundtable panel discussion with Moran, Cauleen Smith, Ari Marcopoulos, and writer, critic, and gallerist John Corbett…. In DTLA’s Arts District, on the occasion of Hauser & Wirth’s exhibition and catalogue launch for Destiny is a Rose—Art from the Eileen Harris Norton Collection, join Gary Simmons, Lorna Simpson, Dr. Kellie Jones, and curator Ingrid Schaffner for a conversation on this legendary, game-changing collector…. and stick around, because immediately following at the gallery, Christina Quarles, writer-editor Sasha Bonét, and ICA LA director Anne Ellegood will discuss the artist’s work, and Quarles will sign copies of her Norwegian exhibition catalogue Living in the Wake….
Del Vaz Projects will host an opening and book launch for their show Steven Arnold—Cocktails in Heaven…. If you’re in Melrose Hill, check out the Lizzie Fitch/Ryan Trecartin show at at Morán Morán: Ply Would—a sculptural theater housing two interconnected movies—along with Tuazon’s presentation of his new work Circle House. The gallery also has a booth at Felix…. Over in Beverly Hills, Lynn Herschman Leeson—Deep Fake continues its run at Hoffman Donahue…. Named after the late founder of Gemini G.E.L., Tacita Dean’s new 16mm film Sidney Felsen decorates an Envelope (2026) is on view at her Marian Goodman show Trial of the Finger—which also includes 35mm installations of Dean’s earlier works Paradise (2021) and Geography Biography (2023)…. Don’t miss Will Rawls’s final Hammer Museum performance of Unmade…. For those requiring a Gesamtkunstwerk, the LA Opera production of Philip Glass’s Akhnaten opens downtown at the end of February…. Or how about a pop-up of Silencio, a local iteration of the Paris nightclub designed by David Lynch?…. Closing out the weekend, Alison Saar will consider Kara Walker’s Unmanned Drone as part of the Brick’s Artists on Artworks series…. And this is your last chance to see Wolfgang Tillmans’s show Keep Movin’ at Regen Projects, which closes on March 1.
